European Writers’ Tour

European Writers Tour

Welcome to the European Writers’ Tour 2017!

In response to the changes faced by Europe, literature can offer new and challenging views on our identity, history and diversity. European Writers’ Tour invites you to meet some of the most exciting writers from across the channel, as we bring authors to the UK and share their stories and experiences.

European Writers’ Tour takes place throughout the year in London and around the country. Launching at the British Library on Tuesday 10 May 2017–  with the 9th edition of the European Literature Night with A. L. Kennedy and guests – the tour invites European authors to talk and meet audiences at five major British literature festivals, as well as a range of talks and events at the British Library.

The European Writers’ Tour 2017 is a EUNIC London project coordinated by the Institute Camões (Portugal) in partnership with the Royal Society of Literature and the British Library. It is supported by The European Commission Representation in the UK and EUNIC Global, with additional support by the Czech Centre, Flanders House and the Institut Francais.
