TRASHEDY

A growing mountain of plastic fills the stage in this TRASHedy about trash and ecological imbalance.

How many plastic cups will you use in a lifetime? Two actors follow the story of our strange evolution and dig through the complexity of so-called “ecological intelligence”. Along the way, they come across ever new questions and an ever-growing mountain of waste.

The German ensemble performing:group will present TRASHedy, adapted for the English-language stage, on the opening night of the Imaginate International Children’s Festival 2024.

With the help of animated drawings, dance and sound collages, TRASHedy takes an unapologetic, humorous look at our freedom of choice and our own consumer behavior. Because everything we do has an impact. Somewhere.

Duration: 50 minutes
Age: Suitable for ages 11 and up

TRASHedy has been performed more than 130 times worldwide since 2013, including in India, Japan, Iceland, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Argentina, South Korea and China.
