The Out of The Wings annual Festival returns to London with a fantastic programme of rehearsed play readings, workshops and one-day conference celebrating theatre in translation. Returning to the Cervantes Theater, it will present a series of evening play readings of some of the best drama from Spain and Latin America, with the presence of voices like Almudena Ramírez-Pantanella and her Masters of the Universe.
On July 6th, in partnership with Goldsmiths University and the Languages Acts and Worldmaking project, there will be a one-day conference at King’s College London addressing theatre practitioners, academics and others interested in theatre translation. The conference will offer a space to share and discuss topics such as translation and pedagogy, translation and advocacy, theatre translation research as practice, and commissioning theatre translation services.
