Ash and Money
[Tiit Ojasoo, Ene-Liis Semper, Estonia, 2013, 98′]
A hilarious but biting political satire from Estonia. In 2010 Estonian democracy
was rocked to its foundations by an audacious piece of performance art: the
creation of a bogus political party by a theatre group intended to expose the
machinations of Estonia’s political system. A surprising film about a challenge
no modern democracy seems capable of meeting.
