Let’s welcome 2019 and start the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the Hellenic Centre with Vasilopitta and a unique performance of songs inspired by love with Trio Lirico.
A programme of well-known excerpts from Greek operettas and songs of the operetta era and subsequent periods.
During the first part of the concert Trio Lirico will present ‘O Erotas sta chronia tis operettas’ (Love during the era of Operetta) featuring well-known music excerpts of that time period tied together in a theatrical plot with texts by Neville Jason Fahy.
In the second part, Trio Lirico will perform well-known songs by famous Greek composers such as Hadjidakis and Theodorakis. A couple of these songs that scored international success will also be sung in English.
