A discussion with philosopher Mark Alizart and translator Robin Mackay
On the occasion of the COP 26 held in Glasgow in November 2021, the French Institute launches a series of rendezvous on climate change with French and British thinkers.
To start the series, Mark Alizart, author of The Climate Coup, recently published in English at Polity (March 2021) and Robin Mackay, his translator, will lead a thrilling discussion evolving around the book and environmental issues.
Tackling the climate change, this talk will not only point out the emergency of the situation but will also show how this environmental challenge is closely intertwined with political and financial matters. To quote Mark Alizart, this is not a crisis but “This is a war to win, […].” and this meeting aims to further understand what lies beneath this war and how to win it.
