Tessitori are an award-winning viola-guitar duo from Portugal who bring new repertoire to this unusual combination of instruments, refreshing well-loved standards of the classical repertoire with their own innovative arrangements to offer a different perspective on the works of great composers. After meeting as students at the Royal Academy of Music, London, Tessitori now enjoy a busy performance schedule across Europe. Their first album together was released in 2014 to critical acclaim. In this recital they explore the music of Iberia, presenting new versions of works by Spanish composers Albéniz and Granados, and an original work by Portuguese composer João Loureiro.
