#SharedEurope – Dash Café: Europe and the Velvet Revolution 30 Years On

Four renowned artists, filmmakers, and writers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia will explore the impact of the 1989 revolution that caused the collapse of the Soviet Union and discuss with Dash Arts’ artistic director Josephine Burton whether 30 years later that spirit of activism still exists. Featuring 1989 student activist, diplomat and writer Monika MacDonagh-Pajerová (CZ), writer and columnist Zuzana Kepplová (SK), actor and film director Tereza Nvotová (SK) and journalist, novelist, screenwriter and DJ Ondřej Štindl (CZ).

Expect live music, short films, and performances alongside insightful conversation.
