Romy Schneider is easily one of Austria’s most celebrated and recognised film stars. To mark what would have been her 80th year, the Austrian Cultural Forum in London pays tribute to her with a special screening of the 1969 love triangle/thriller The Swimming Pool (La Piscine).
Scenario:
The journalist Marianne (Romy Schneider) and Jean-Paul (Alain Delon) spend their vacation in a villa on the French Riviera near St-Tropez. Jean-Paul allows Marianne’s former lover (Maurice Ronet) to drown, the couple must answer questions from an inspector.
