In celebration of Portugal’s National Day, Portuguese organist André Ferreira will perform on the Stoller Organ an exclusive programme by Portuguese composers, including Frederico de Freitas and Luís de Freitas Branco.
André Ferreira graduated at the Amsterdam Conservatoire, where he studied under Jacques van Oortmerssen and worked with Pieter van Dijk, and he holds a Masters Degree in Organ Studies by the Lisbon School of Music where he studied with João Vaz. André performs regularly as a soloist and in music ensembles across Europe.
The recital is organised by the Consulate General of Portugal in Manchester in Partnership with Manchester Cathedral, and it is sponsored by the Instituto Camões.
