Professor Guillaume Piketty (Sciences Po Paris) and Professor Robert Gildea (Oxford University), will discuss the Encyclopaedia of WWII recently edited by Guillaume Piketty and Jean-François Muracciole (Robert Laffont) and Fighters in the Shadows (Faber), Robert Gildea’s latest book on the French Resistance. They will focus on international and comparative perspectives and new approaches such as the history of emotions and the individual experiences of soldiers and civilians.
