A lecture by Patrick Lambert, based on his latest book.
The writer, broadcaster and lecturer on music Patrick Lambert worked for BBC Radio 3 as a music producer for 25 years. He has a special interest in Czech music, particularly Janáček and Martinů. His conference papers on both composers have been published and in the early 1980s he devised a ground-breaking programme about Janáček’s Intimate Letters String Quartet. He will be illustrating his talk with some of the rare and historic recordings discussed in his new book. Price £15 including a glass of wine.
