One of Denmark’s distinguished sculptors, Jørgen Haugen Sørensen, will have his debut at the Messums Gallery in London.
This exhibition will be his first in the UK since exhibiting at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in 1993. Throughout Haugen Sørensen’s career he has focused his attention on the human condition in society in all its frailty, ferocity and beauty. His work manifests itself in different kinds of materials as well as forms of expression. The art exhibition at Messums London will focus on his white clay pieces which are significant for their movement from concrete forms towards abstraction. A catalogue with articles by e.g. Peter Murray, founder and executive director of Yorkshire Sculpture Park will be available.
