Ahead of the UK release of Dheepan, the French Institute of UK are offering you a chance to follow the path drawn by Jacques Audiard with a complete retrospective of his filmography as a director.
Audiard gets the ball rolling in the 90’s with See How They Fall and A Self-Made Hero (1996 Cannes Film Festival Best Screenplay award) and their most talented lead actors, Jean-Louis Trintignant and Mathieu Kassovitz.
Further recognition comes with Read My Lips, winning Emmanuelle Devos – in a unforgettable role facing Vincent Cassel – the Best Actress César award in 2002, and international acclaim with The Beat That My Heart Skipped, A Prophet and Rust and Bone, rewarded with a myriad of prizes. Winning the 68th Palme d’Or in Cannes last year, Dheepan crowns the impeccable track of the French director.
