European Day of Early Music: Handel and Bach

European Day of Early Music: Handel and Bach

As part of the transcontinental celebration of the European Day of Early Music 2017, coordinated by the European Early Music Network REMA-EEMN, the European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO) is delighted to present an evening performance of music by GF Handel and JS Bach at the National Centre for Early Music in York on 21 March 2017.

Directed by the celebrated Danish harpsichordist Lars Ulrik Mortensen, and featuring the talents of soprano Maria Keohane from Sweden and the Croatian violinist based in the UK Bojan Čičić, EUBO will perform Handel’s newly rediscovered Cantata Tu fedel? Tu costante? HWV171a, Bach’s Wedding Cantata Weichet nur BWV 202 and other inspiring works by these two masters of the baroque.
