Spanish pianist Maria Canyigueral and Slovenian violinist Lana Trotovšek have been awarded with the Gold Medal at the 2016 Global Music Awards for their CD with music by Finzi, Franck, Škerjanc and Granados.

Maria Canyigueral, formed at the Conservatorio del Liceu in Barcelona and the Royal Academy of Music in London, has performed as a soloist or chamber groups in auditoriums and festivals throughout Europe.
Lana Trotovšek is a Slovenian violinist based in London. She has performed as a soloist and chamber ensembles throughout Europe and the United States. Plays an instrument of Pietro Antonio dalla Costa (Treviso, 1750).
