Professor Siân Reynolds, a historian of France and Scotland, will discuss the issue of these young families, whose trajectories in the years after 1794 depended on many factors: the existence of a family network; whether their parents had survived the Terror or not; and above all their attitude to the role played by their parents in the dramatic events between 1789 and 1794. This event is organised in cooperation with the Society for the Study of French History and the Association for the Study of Modern and Contemporary France.
