During a conversation with journalist Enrico Franceschini, author Cinzia Sasso will present her book “Moglie”, published by Utet. The event will be held in Italian.
What happens to a proudly independent journalist when she decides to leave the job of her life to become a wife? And not just any wife, but the “first sciura”: the wife of the mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapia. Alternating made daily meetings and extraordinary journeys, Cinzia Sasso retraces the background of Milan “orange”. Her memoir shows us how being full-time wife can be very rewarding, even or perhaps especially for a person who has always believed in self-sufficiency, independence, and freedom. With lightness, simplicity, irony, but also sensitivity, she questions dynamics of the couple, the male and female roles in contemporary society, the pursuit of happiness and the deepest meaning of love.
