For the 4th year, EUNIC London, the network of the cultural institutes from the member countries of the European Union working in London, is organising its Annual Conference.
Some great European names in the arts, academia and public affairs will offer their contribution to the essential debate about the future of Europe, giving voice to the expectations, concerns and resolutions of Europe’s creative sectors. EUNIC London Cultural Diplomacy Conference 2012 (28 June 2012)
“CULTURAL DIPLOMACY IN A CHANGING WORLD: HOW TO RESPOND TO THE CURRENT CHALLENGES”

The Cultural Diplomacy Conference is an annual event organized by EUNIC London with the support of the European Commission’s Representation in the UK. It draws on the experience and achievements brought about by two previous Cultural Diplomacy Seminars, also organized by EUNIC London, where noted cultural diplomats, cultural managers, artists, experts, and academics, coming from the EU and beyond, reflected on key aspects of cultural diplomacy and set forth creative responses to its challenges.
The 3rd edition of the Conference has been coordinated by the Romanian Cultural Institute in collaboration with the British Council and EUNIC London members.

The Report of the 2012 Cultural Diplomacy Conference, organized by EUNIC London on June the 28th, is now available on this website, together with an addendum on international cultural cooperation, authored by our colleagues from Goethe-Institute. Also, follow the conference proceedings in full, video and audio versions.

EUNIC London Cultural Diplomacy Conference 2010 (1st July 2010) ‘The Virtues of European Public Diplomacy’

Held at the Romanian Cultural Institute, the first edition of EUNIC London Cultural diplomacy Conference explored the challenges and opportunities of using art and culture – indeed cultural relations – as vehicles of national foreign policy. Diplomacy has undergone radical change and according to many current thinkers conventional diplomacy is not able to provide answers to the challenges posed by present-day realities. In response to this EUNIC London and the European Commission Representation in the UK are hosting and cordially inviting you to the very first edition of EUNIC London Cultural Diplomacy Seminar dedicated to “The Virtues of European Public Diplomacy on 21st century”  by practitioners and theorists.
