On the 8th of April at 7pm, we screen the multiawarded film, Aniara by Pella Kagerman and Hugo Lilja (2018), a very topical film after the Perseverance rover was launched to Mars last month.
Earth is burning, and the answer is to move the surviving population to Mars.
Directors Pella Kågerman and Hugo Lilja have turned it into an allegory for climate change and consumerism, and how they’re linked. Based on the iconic poem by Swedish Nobel laureate Harry Martinson, Aniara explores the challenges faced by humankind with a deeply compassionate eye.
