Lithuanian Embassy in the UK, the French Institute in the UK and other partners invite you to screenings of films by the prominent Lithuanian film director and anthropologist Mantas Kvedaravicius (1976-2022), who was killed while making a film in a besieged Ukrainian city Mariupolis in April 2022.
While the rescued footage premiered last week at the Cannes Film Festival, the tribute to this outstanding filmmaker in the UK presents three documentary films: “Barzakh” (2011), “Mariupolis” (2016) and “Parthenon” (2019). They are also a part of screening series to provide a broader cinematic and sociopolitical context to the current war in Ukraine.
