We are pleased to invite you to the screening of La Tierra Y La Sombra (Land And Shade) at the King’s College University in London. Apart from eliciting reflection on the reality of sugar cane plantations at the Colombian Cauca Valley, the film also explores family and business relationships in the context of the sugar cane trade.
Land And Shade won the Caméra d’Or (Best Debut Feature Film), the France 4 Visionary Award and the Grand Rail d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015. It was also the first film to win the newly appointed AECID Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain.
