Every year on 20 March, countries around the world celebrate Francophonie through cultural events honouring the French language.
This year, Francophonie UK (gathering the representations of France, Canada, Switzerland, Monaco, the Federation of Wallonie-Bruxelles and Quebec in the UK) have decided to place schools in the spotlight by organising a grand competition, the Joutes Oratoires Lycéennes, for British pupils learning French in secondary schools in the country.
