‘A real delight.’ Early Music Reviews +
‘Cifras Imaginarias’ is the first project to invent a songbook for two vihuelas that could have, hypothetically, been published around 1560 in Seville or Valladolid. A unique opportunity to hear the marvellous poliphonic music of the 16th century in the hands of two of today’s internationally pre-eminent vihuela players, Ariel Abramovich and Jacob Heringman, who present works from their latest album on the Arcana label ‘Cifras Imaginarias: Música para tañer a dos vihuelas’. The Bolívar Hall provides the ideal space in which to hear this wonderfully intimate programme full of contemplation and tranquility – the perfect way to kick off your weekend!
This event is part of the “Guitarrísimo” series organised by ILAMS and the Instituto Cervantes with the kind support of the Embassy of the Republic of Venezuela.
