For the 3rd consecutive year, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü – London joins London Craft Week with a new set of interesting workshops with a focus on Tezhip (Islamic Illumination).
This year London Craft Week has over 250 participants and supporters who aid their vision of celebrating British and international creativity. We are once again super excited to be a part of this internationally inclusive project.
Between the 30th of September and the 10th of October, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü – London will be organising 10 workshops exploring geometric and floral patterns used in Tezhip, the traditional Ottoman art of Illumination. This is the perfect opportunity to get an exposure into the traditional Turkish arts!
With a total of 4 different patterns from the Ottoman and Seljuks traditions covered, we really hope you will enjoy all we have to offer. The Workshop fees for each 3-hour workshop is £20, and you will be creating your own piece to display at home!
