Four female artists, Barbara Kubaniova, Jarmila Sabova, Vlasta Zakova and Lucie Dovičáková, reflect on the ‘normal concepts of life’ at a special exhibition of contemporary Slovak visual art ‘In Different State’. The motives for the work come out of their primal experience of being in a ‘different state’; all of the women have gone through the experience of becoming a mother.
