Three outstanding independent short films from Austrian filmmakers will be screened at this year’s Aesthetica Short Film Festival in York.
Rupert Höller’s music video for Leyya’s song Wannabe depicting the feeling of dissatisfaction with the self, Helen Hideko’s experimental Yckowrebbaj that follows a boy sent into a mystical forest to slay a fearsome monster, and David Andrew Wunderer’s thriller Shelter about a horrific discovery in a seemingly abandoned trailer, are in competition to receive several awards, each recognising the outstanding talent in filmmaking practice.
