MORE INFO & TICKETS

Blackheath International Chamber Music Festival was founded by Artistic Directors violinist Lana Trotovšek and flutist Boris Bizjak who will also be performing alongside fifteen international artists.

In six concerts you will be able to explore the music of both iconic and lesser-known pieces. The Festival journey begins with our Opening Gala Concert on 27th October, featuring Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as well as two concertos he wrote for the virtuosic young women performers he worked with. From there, the first weekend’s concerts will take you on a musical tour of Baroque Europe, ending at the Prussian Court with the Bach family and their patrons.

The second Festival weekend spans the length of the late Classical to Romantic era, with works by towering musical figures of the period such as Beethoven, Clara Schumann, Brahms, and their contemporaries, before crossing the Atlantic with Gustav Mahler and Cécile Chaminade in the final concert.
